Client Choice Food Pantry

About

At the George T. Goodwin Center, we are proud to offer a client-choice food pantry every other Monday from 12:00 pm-2:00 pm and again from 4:00 pm-6:00 pm. Our food pantry is open to everyone—no ID is required, and there are no restrictions on where you live. We simply ask that it’s one family per household.

What sets our pantry apart is our client-choice model, which allows individuals and families to select the food items that best suit their dietary needs, health requirements, and preferences. By giving our clients the freedom to choose, we aim to create a more respectful and dignified experience. For some, the need to rely on a food pantry can be accompanied by feelings of shame or discomfort. By trusting our clients to make their own food selections, we hope to foster an environment of respect and empowerment.

Our dedicated staff and incredible volunteers strive to ensure that every person who comes to our pantry leaves feeling supported and treated with dignity—never judged for seeking help. We believe that everyone deserves access to the food they need, and our mission is to make this process as comfortable and empowering as possible.
